FAQ

Will counselling help me?
Counselling takes time and commitment but can help many people.

What about confidentiality?
The sessions are private and all information you share with me is kept confidential. There are some very rare exceptions to this, for example if there is risk of serious harm to yourself or another, when confidentiality needs to be breached. This would only be done after discussion with you and with your written consent whenever possible.

How long will it take?
The number of sessions required varies depending on personal circumstances and need. There are regular opportunities to review progress and what further action may be needed.

Do I need a GP referral?
Most clients refer themselves and no GP’s referral is required.

How long and often are sessions?
Sessions last one hour and are normally on a weekly basis.

How much does it cost?
£50.00 for individuals,£60.00 for CBT, or £60.00 for couples per session. Some concessionary fees may be available.
